Best Ayurvedic treatment. It is possible.

The seers of Ayurveda have described four factors behind the success of a best Ayurveda treatment which comprise of four qualities each.

They are Vaidya (The doctor), Dravya (The medicine), Upasthata (The nurse) and Rogi (The patient). Each of them are comprised of four qualities which combinedly make a treatment perfect.

Doctor: He should be skilled and holistic. He should have moved deep into the texts like a holy trip and bath in a religious place. He should have witnessed sufficient practical experience.

Medicine: The medicine should be very much potential with its own properties. It should have been prepared with multiple forms like tablet, syrup, powder, tincture etc. The medicine should be of broad spectrum and of multi-dimensional activity.

Nurse (Attendant): The first criteria of being a perfect nurse is belongingness towards the patient and the doctor. Holistic practice is a USP of the nurse as a good health worker. The nurse should be an intelligent one.

Patient: Patient should be financially sound, obedient to the doctor, informative and tolerant. He should have the mental strength to tolerate the taste of the medicine or the pain of the treatment.

How does a disease take place?

How does a disease take place?

According to basic principle of Ayurveda, every incident that takes place is the ultimate consequence of a reason behind it. So as any disease is the ultimate consequence of some sort of reasons behind it. The complete occurrence of a disease is a continuous journey of a pathogenesis that starts from the accumulation of reasons and ends at the onset of the disease.

The onset of the journey takes place at the excessive/ less/ wrong practice of time, objective of life and the physical and mental activity. This practice helps accumulation of the causative factors of the disease.
It is a normal tendency, gathering of same elements at one place for a longer time exaggerates the nature and practice of that element. Expansion of the elements in area and activity is another normal tendency. After expansion the elevated confidence instigates to invade and settle in a new place. That happens in case of the accumulated, exaggerated and expanded toxic elements of the body. Then the disease shows the presuming signs and symptoms of some unseen diseases. With time it displays the cardinal symptoms of a disease along with the prevalence of that's variety. (e.g.: Arthritis:- Rheumatoid/ Gouty/ Osteo/ Tubercular etc)

Why, this is important?

Because, with the information mentioned above, we understand that there are five or six steps where we can prevent the disease before it takes place.

Best Ayurvedic Oil Body Massage

 Ayurvedic Oil  Body Massage

Winter season is one of the pleasant seasons. People enjoy delicious food, beautiful dress and travelling in the winter season. To keep all the happiness in tact we should take special care of our health in winter season. Because of the coldness, dryness is enhanced. The intracellular fluid that is comprised of water and fat get evaporated giving rise to dryness, crack to the skin and internal neurological disorders.

In the management of intracellular fluid and the neurological competency Ayurveda has programmed different types of treatments, out of which Ayurvedic massage with oil or any fatty substance is the most popular one. Ayurvedic body massage is very much beneficial which I will describe, perhaps in my next post. Today I want to say something about one Ayurvedic oil massage called Pizhichi.

This is a massage performed by four therapists taking at least two liters of oil  for the purpose. The warm oil fulfils both the purpose of massage and sudation (Sweating). It is to be noted that massage should always be followed by a steam bath. In pizhichil there is no need of steam bath as the swedana karma (sudation) is done by the warmth of the oil.
This treatment is highly beneficial and being practiced for the treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Spondylitis, Sciatica, PIVD, MND(Motor Neuron Disease), Parkinson's disease etc.

Why we Should take Ayurvedic Body Massage

What is Ayurvedic Body massage?

Ayurveda body massage is not far different from any other massage around the world. It is different by its concept. Ayurvedic massage is otherwise called Abhyangam or Avyangam in Sanskrit. Abhyanga means to move over the body that is to massage over the body. It can be both preventive and curative practice. Abhyanga is a part of “Dina charya” that is daily habit like passing urine and stool, brushing teeth etc. Massage can be practiced over anybody from childhood to old age. For a complete abhyanga, the massage zones include-

—  Head

—  Palms

—  Plantar area

—  Ears.

The massage should always be performed in mode of Anulomana i.e. in the direction of the hair i.e. from head to toe.

Ayurveda body massage does have its own clinical value. It is not a mechanical friction in between the palms of the masseur and the skin of the recipient.  It is a psychosomatic link in between the two. This is a way of psychological connection in between the therapist and the guest.

Knee Pain

http://www.astangayurveda.com/ayurveda/72_Osteoarthritis/

Who suffer from knee pain?

Almost every body from all walk of life. Home maker, Traffic police, Teacher, Dancer, labourer, rich person who does not work, obesed person, thin person, male, female! Everybody.

Why?

Due to over work, trauma, degeneration, over weight, weak tendons and ligaments, mal nutrition, hypocalcemia (Low calcium).

Generally what happens?

1. There is a lubricant like liquid in between the intra articular space of the knee joint. It prevents degeneration and works like a shock absorber. Due to aging process as a normal physiology that gets degenerated causing a failure to the smooth movement inside the knee joint. It also maintains a hydraulic pressure inside the knee joint and maintains a gap in between the two heads of the Femur (Bone of upper leg) and the Tibia (Bone of lower leg). Due to degeneration the gap is reduced giving rise to a head on collision or friction among the two long bones. Also, the degeneration takes place due to over work or a trauma.

2. Due to relatively overweight ( Even a lesser weight may be a problem for the less toned tendons and ligaments and behave like over weight, so called relatively over weight) the tendons and ligaments around the knee joint come under stress causing pain in the knee joint. In this case the pain aggravates on walking, stepping up/down the stare case, squatting down etc. The patient will finger out points on the knee joint for pain and tenderness.  Also, the inflammation of tendons and ligaments takes place due to over work or a trauma.

What is the solution?

Now a days lots of anti inflammatory, analgecic medicines along with glucosamine are widely prescribed for the osteoarthritis of knee. In my view they are not very good solutions. Also knee replacement is not a popular option due to different limitations.

What we do at Astang Ayurveda?

Normally patients above the age of 45 years come with the problems of osteoarthritis knee. Patients of that age group never appreciate an obesity management program. Also osteoarthritis patients with a lower weight or patients with a trauma on knee joint have nothing to do with obesity management.

According to Ayurveda Tendons and ligaments are the sub tissue of some other prime tissues. If we nourish the tissue qualitatively, then the tendons and the ligaments get nourished functionally without gaining any weight.

We take the support of specialized Ayurveda pancha karma treatment and give the patient an assured pain less life.
